Melpomene was the Greek Muse of tragedy, one of the nine Muses in Greek mythology ... but that's another story.

Corrine Elizabeth Melpomene Chattan made her first appearance in the Clan of the Cats
story appropriately entitled, Melpomene. She is a sister to Chelsea Chattan, the "star" of COTC, and is also a were-leopard and witch. To learn much more about Mel and her cohorts go to the COTC Mythos authored by Timber Bram.
