Conall was born as a strong Alpha-Morph in the Tribe of the Western Wolf, occupying territory primarily western Europe. (It’s not coincidence that “Conall” ended up having the Irish Gaelic meaning “strong wolf”.) The Tribe was composed exclusively of Alpha- and Pureblood-Morph were-wolves. As time progressed, Conall learned to use his magickal talents reaching the status of Wizard Morph.
Circa 10 000 BCE, the various morph tribes, clans, factions, and families began arguing and fighting among themselves regarding territory, both on earth and in the accessible coexisting dimensions. They probably didn’t realise it at the time, but they were starting the two-thousand-year-long series of battles that became know as the Portal Wars.
Eventually, Conall realised that he had been fighting for half of his very long life (about four thousand years at that point). The Portal Wars had been going on for two thousand years. He knew he was tired of the constant battles, the attacks that always left someone grieving somewhere, and the seeming futility of it all.
No one even remembered what the first battles had been about anymore.
At some point, either by design or accident, Conall found himself chief of the Tribe of the Western Wolf. As their leader, he began to encourage his people to see the benefits of ending the Wars. With great diplomatic skill not often seen anywhere, Conall drew other tribes and clans into his Alliance.
If the morphs had kept the fighting in the family (so to speak), this would have sufficed to reduce, if not end, the hostilities. However, the vampires had felt threatened by the morph battles and become involved in the general melée. Additionally, practitioners of all kinds were supplying spells to various factions, as well as fighting for their own reasons.
There needed to be a referee of all branches to keep the three branches of the Netherworld working together. Conall was fully aware of how difficult that would actually be to accomplish.
Picking the practitioners as the easier starting point, Conall sent messages requesting a meeting to the Great Prime Wizard Timon, an Ancient and possibly the most powerful practitioner on the planet. Timon agreed and the two met for several days, discussing issues and airing grievances. Eventually, the Wizard and the Morph reached an agreement that would end hostilities between morphs and practitiioners.
With two branches of the Netherworld united, they contrived to get the vampires to join them by playing on the sympathies of their Mother and Progenitor Lillith.
Now leaders from all three branches of the Netherworld stood united in their opposition to war among the kin. Lillith herself declared the Council of Three’s creation in 8096 BCE. (See Council, Origin.) Conall served honourably on the Council for the remainder of his life.
Conall’s son and heir, Euthymius Ulf Conall, was born in 1289 BCE. (He was a Medium Alpha-Morph and Ancient.)
When Timon the Great decided to abdicate in 5360 BCE, Conall remained on the Council with Lillith to provide stability. Conall finally gave up his Council position at his death in 1100 BCE. Euthymius Ulf Conall assumed the mantle of Second Wolf-Councillor.
By inference, Conall must have been a cunning diplomat and negotiator.
