History

What is Othello? He is a morph-child, the product of a Pureblood-Morph and a real wild leopard. Othello is also Toby’s half-brother. Their shared mother was an ordinary Pureblood-Morph (that is, not a Magickal-Pureblood). Toby has no special qualities on his own as the morph gene seemed to skip him.

Basically Othello gets all his physical characteristics from his father, the leopard, and his mental characteristics from his mother, the Pureblood. This means he is slightly more intelligent that a normal leopard; however, he keeps the characteristics of a wild animal and expresses himself in that manner. He cannot speak, although he can think and reason and understand what people say.

A some point Toby Snyder managed to get a permit to keep big cats on his property. Perhaps it is organised as a game park, a tourist attraction. At any rate, he was able to contain his half-brother relatively safely. There is at least one other leopard there, a female called Fluffy.

Othello is known for escaping, a situation which causes extreme nervousness on the part of the Buncombe County Sheriff.
