Coming Home

Welcome Home, Chelsea

  • In New York City, odd dreams plague a young witch, while even odder events invade her life.
  • After living in New York City for three years to pursue an art career, Chelsea Urania Kate Chattan returns home for her sister’s wedding.
  • Jubal McRae and Wald, two slackers living in a bullet trailer on the outskirts of town, wake up startled by a sudden bang on the outside of the trailer.  A bird has hit the side of the trailer and is has apparently died in the accident.
  • Upon returning to her hometown in North Carolina, Chelsea reunites with friends Wald and Sarah Jayne and her mother and step-father.
  • As Wald is driving Chelsea home, they stop by the trailer.  There Chelsea picks up the dead bird and it springs back to life.  Chelsea insists it was merely stunned.  Wald is not so sure. 
  • Chelsea finally greets Cynthia, her half-sister, who is just a day from getting married.
  • Enter Paul McRae, the groom and brother to Jubal. 
  • Ruth, Chelsea’s grandmother, sees danger ahead in her tarot cards. Her familiar, Sebastian makes a snide comment. Yes, the cat talks. 
  • Wald is still concerned about Chelsea and voices his thoughts to Jubal.  However, Jubal is too nervous to concentrate as he and Chelsea used to be an item and soon enough they will see each other for the first time in three years.
